Comments: If any part of the internet needs a filter, it’s the comments section. We want to include you guys in the discussion, but just look at YouTube if you need proof that an open, unmoderated discussion on the internet is not a discussion. That’s why we review and approve all comments posted on the site. We aren’t gonna filter out opinions because we disagree with them, but we will keep out stuff that’s stupid, nasty, or just plain wrong. We think that’s the only way to give you a comments section actually worth using.

Decency: We’re from the modern world. We’re cool, we’re hip, we’re “with it”. We come from a new-agey world where calling something porn is more of a compliment than a criticism, and the only people who get offended are assholes. We don’t want to upset you, but we also don’t like being censored, so we leave the decision of what is and is not appropriate for our site up to each individual editor. If our editors and our advertisers disagree about what’s appropriate, we’ll side with the editors. Also, this site is absolutely not intended for the use of anyone under the age of 13. If you’re under 13, kindly GTFO.

Privacy: Any information we may gather about you that could identify you (Personally identifiable information, or “PII”), like an email address or phone number, will be kept confidential. We will not knowingly collect any information from people under 13, and this site is not intended for the use of anyone under that age. We’ll take commercially reasonable precautions to keep private any information we have about you which may be reasonably expected to remain private. Should we want to give PII to people, we will notify you in the form of a post on the homepage of our site or an email to any address we may have for you at least a week ahead of time and give you a chance to tell us you’re not ok with that. We may notify you in only one of these ways or in both of them, we reserve the right to choose which and how many. If you do tell us not to give out your PII, then we won’t give out your PII. We will use any information we have about you in any way we deem fit, but this will not include giving it to 3rd parties, with the exception of impersonal information gathered by cookies in ads on our site or by our tracking code, without notifying you in the aforementioned ways. We’re still new at all this, so we may change our policies. If we do, we will update this page to reflect the changes.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics scripts to track how you got to our site, how you move through it, and where you go on your way out. We collect information about you such as, but not limited to, your IP address, location, network name, browser, and operating system. It’s kind of creepy, but it’s also pretty common. We use Google Analytics to provide this service, and all your information is stored and kept secure by them according to their policies, which you should see for more details.

Affiliate Marketing Services

We use two affiliate program services, Commission Junction and Linkshare, to place affiliate ads on our site. These services place cookies on your computer that let them know that you came from our site when you go to another site to buy something. They may track other information about you, and you should look at their respective privacy policies to determine what information and how it is stored. If you would like to disable these cookies, you can, and you should examine your browser’s help files to learn how.

OpenX

Our advertisers also collect information from you so that they know you came to their site from our site. They put something on your computer called a “tracking cookie” that lets them do this, but it’s not really that bad. We also use third-party advertising companies to put ads on our site for you to enjoy. These compaies use information about how you view the site to determine how many times you’ve enjoyed their ads and how much to pay us. We are not in control of the cookies our advertisers place on your computer. Comments

If you submit a comment to our site, any information you submit along with that comment (like a picture or name) will be posted on the site, and our site is open for anyone to see. We don’t keep your account information or any other information you send with the comment that is not part of the comment, that’s stored over at Disqus, so check out their privacy policy to see what they’ll do with it.
